Hopes and Dreams

“Dream big!” You see that on almost every motivational poster and hear it during every sales training.

To be honest, the whole idea of “dreaming big” has kind of lost its allure.  Don’t get me wrong, I am all for the idea of dreaming big, I simply mean that the word “dream” doesn’t really resonate with me these days.

The past 6 months has shown all of us that we are truly not in control.  We can work hard, set goals, pivot, and throw every other ounce of strategy at something, but at the end of the day, we are not in control of life.

Rather than just “Dream Big”, I propose we “Hope Big!”

Life doesn’t always turn out the way we want it to or think that it should; it takes twists and turns we aren’t expecting (at least mine has this past year).  Some of those twists can be devastating and dreams can be shattered.  If your dreams have been shattered by twists, have hope.  Hope Heals.

Once you have hope, you can dream.  If you feel like your dreams have slipped away, fear not! They are there!  You just have to find some hope.

No matter where life takes me, I know there is always hope, and hope heals.
